Nationwide recall of Nestle cookie dough announced

Area grocery retailers have announced a nationwide recall of off varieties of Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough.

Nestle U.S.A. announced a voluntary recall of the refrigerated cookie dough in response to consumer illness complaints which may be linked to the consumption of the product in raw, uncooked form.

The recalled products include:

• Nestle Ultimate Caramel Filled, UPC #5000044066

• Nestle Ultimate Chocolate Chip w/Peanut Butter Cups, UPC #5000000922

• Nestle Ultimate Chocolate Chip Lovers, UPC #5000000926

• Nestle Ultimate Peanut Butter Cookie, UPC # 5000000507

• Nestle Mini Brownie Bites, UPC #5000062227

• Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookie Chub, UPC #5000062239

• Nestle Mini Sugar Cookie Bar, UPC #5000062244
