FREEBURG - Two students were taken to a hospital after a full sized school bus carrying 18 children slid off an icy road, dropped into a ditch and toppled onto its right side.
School bus driver Connie Raker said she was driving slowly - about 10 miles-per-hour - because of the slippery conditions when the bus slid off Produce Road, just off Route 35 on the east side of Freeburg.
The Selinsgrove Area School District students were evacuated and placed into resuce vehicles to keep warm following the incident just before 4 p.m. Wednesday. Some of the students appeared to be picked up by parents in private vehicles.
Neither the identities, nor the medical conditions of the injured students were available.
