MIDDLEBURG -- Stacey L. Zerbe, a lifelong resident of Snyder County, has announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination of Snyder County Register of Wills and Recorder of Deeds.
In 1984, she was hired as a clerk, and, in 1987, was entrusted to the appointment of chief deputy, which she held until being sworn in as acting register and recorder on Jan. 25, 2008. She replaced Harvey J. Kreamer Jr., who retired. His fifth term of office expires in January 2010.
Zerbe graduated in 1983 from Middleburg High School. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans' Court Association, the Pennsylvania Recorder of Deeds Association and Snyder County Council of Republican Women.
She and her husband, Karl, live in Middleburg. They have a daughter, Lindsey.
