DANVILLE -- How do you install heavy brew tanks? Very carefully, but not before ripping the window from your storefront.
Old Forge Brewing Co., a brew pub that will open at 282 Mill St. in December, planned to install three fermentation tanks and six serving tanks on Tuesday.
Each stainless steel tank will hold 155 gallons at the brewery, and took a forklift and a full crew to move around on Mill Street.
Vinnie Timpanelli operated the forklift while others, including brew pub owner Damien Malfara, of Bloomsburg, guided the tanks off a truck, onto the sidewalk and through the window to the back of the building.
Also helping were Dwight Snader, Brandt Vansickle, Robert Lupold Jr. and Andrew Dewire.
