SELINSGROVE -- Two Snyder County men are in jail after unrelated harassment incidents, including one in which the accused allegedly responded to state troopers' request to leave a woman alone by saying: "It's not over until it's over."
In the other case, a series of increasingly violent altercations ended only after state police arrived to find that a play set had been thrown through a door, a portion of a yard set ablaze and a truck windshield smashed.
Matthew Aucker, 36, of 30 Old Route 522, Penn Township, Snyder County, told state police at Selinsgrove that at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, he found Christopher A. Biddinger, 20, of Selinsgrove, in a vehicle in his driveway. When Aucker asked Biddinger what he wanted, Biddinger drove off.
About 30 minutes later, Aucker heard loud voices outside and saw two men, including Biddinger, walking up the road.
Biddinger confronted Aucker, cursing and threatening to kill him, the police complaint said.
Aucker said he picked up a piece of wood "in self-defense" and struck Biddinger, who responded that he would return with a gun to kill him, the complaint said.
A few minutes later, a group of four to six people walked up the road toward the home where Aucker, Tammy Aucker, 35, and two girls were staying.
The occupants of the home could hear the group yelling and smashing things outside, the complaint said.
Peering outside a window, Aucker allegedly saw Biddinger head toward his back door carrying an unknown object.
"He then heard the door open and heard (Biddinger) walking around in the apartment" uttering threats, the complaint said.
At this point, state police arrived at the scene.
Aucker found a play set had been thrown into a room in the apartment through a back door, a section of yard was set on fire by someone who dumped out remnants of a metal campfire pit and his truck had been damaged.
Biddinger fled the home and police spent the night trying to track him down.
He was arrested at 11:20 a.m. Thursday and arraigned before District Judge John T. Robinson on charges of felony burglary and criminal trespass, and misdemeanor terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
Biddinger is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail in Snyder County Jail.
Cops: Man text-messaged death threats
A Beavertown man has also been charged with harassment and related charges after text-messaging death threats and leaving harassing comments on a 19-year-old woman's myspace page.
Chester Michael Kasianczuk, 32, of 102 E. Market St., Beavertown, has been charged with retaliation against witness, victim or party, intimidation of witness or victims and harassment by state police at Selinsgrove.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim, 19-year-old Courtney Garrison, told police she received a threatening message on her myspace page from Kasianczuk and threatening text messages on her cell phone on Tuesday. The same day, Garrison said she found a newspaper in her driveway with the obituaries on top along with an article about Kasianczuk's former charge of harassment.
According to police, when told to leave Garrison alone, Kasianczuk responded to police by saying, "It's not over until it's over." Kasianczuk was arrested and charged Wednesday and was arraigned before Robinson. He is being held in Snyder County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
