LEWISBURG — Two people were injured Sunday morning when their motorcycle collided with a car on Route 15 at Hospital Drive in Kelly Township.
The motorcyclist, Clayton Maguire, 49, of Westminster, Md., was reported in serious condition this morning at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. His passenger, Mary E. Shaw, 57, also of Westminster, Md., was reportedly injured, but information on her condition was unavailable this morning.
The other driver, Wendle P. Mertz, 90, of Lewisburg, was not injured.
State police at Milton said the accident occurred at 11:25 a.m. when Mertz went through a red light, turning his Buick Lucerne left from the northbound lanes of Route 15 directly in the path of Maguire’s southbound Harley Road King cycle.
The motorcycle hit the right rear portion of the car. Maguire and Shaw were both thrown from the cycle.
