MILTON — The fire that damaged a home in West Chillisquaque Township Tuesday afternoon was accidental, a state police fire marshal said.
A light fixture that was too close to a mattress in a basement bedroom ignited the mattress, said Trooper Norman Fedder.
The home at 20 Old Farm Lane, Milton, was owned by Terry Rager. Rager lived in the house with his girlfriend, April DeWalt.
Fedder estimated damages at $35,000 and said Rager was insured.
