Chelsea Clinton to visit Valley

LEWISBURG -- The daughter of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., will speak about her mother's presidential candidacy at noon Thursday at Bucknell University.

Chelsea Clinton will also answer questions from the audience. The event is free, open to the public, and seating will be first-come, first-served.

The specific site will be announced this afternoon and published immediately online at www.dailyitem.com. The site will also be identified in Thursday morning's edition of The Daily Item.

Clinton's address is sponsored by Bucknell's College Democrats.

In February, Bucknell President Brian C. Mitchell invited all the presidential candidates from all parties to speak at the school.

According to a university statement, Bucknell does not endorse any candidate or party but encourages engagement in the democratic process and critical thinking and analysis of the candidates and the issues.
