— DANVILLE — Michael Olbrish, 29, of Mount Carmel, will be cited for careless driving for causing an accident on Monday while on a cell phone, Danville police said.

Olbrish was traveling east at 7:41 a.m. on East Front Street when the left front of his G6 Pontiac struck a tree, spun around and flipped onto its right side.

Investigating officer Danville Patrolman Gerard Zeidler Jr. said he wasn’t sure if Olbrish was texting or dialing the phone at the time.

Olbrish was on his way to Geisinger Medical Center to have an MRI done of his left shoulder, Zeidler said.

He sustained pain in his left shoulder as well as his pelvis area, police said.

Olbrish was taken by a Danville ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center.

His car ended up in front of 309 E. Front St. and near Cedar Street.

Responding were Danville police, Danville fire departments, Danville ambulance and Danville fire police.
