Expensive buys result in arrest


MIDDLEBURG — A Selinsgrove man was arrested Nov. 20 by Middleburg Police, and charged with stealing more than $9,000 from his employer, Troutman’s Meat Market, in Middleburg.

Authorities said the money was stolen sometime between Oct. 2-9.

The ensuing investigation focused on John F. Drumheller, 22, of 824 North Market St., Selinsgrove, who purchased a vehicle, stereo equipment and other expensive items after the money was reported missing.

Drumheller was charged with two felony counts of receiving stolen property, and two felony counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition.

He was arraigned before District Judge Willis Savidge, and sent to Snyder County Prison, in lieu of $50,000 bail.
