Driver hurt in rollover
STONINGTON — A 45-year-old Sunbury woman was listed in stable condition Sunday after losing control of her pickup truck and being partially thrown from the rolled vehicle, authorities said.
Julie A. Pantoja was airlifted to Geisinger Medical Center after the 2:20 p.m. wreck on Buch’s Hollow Road between Comfort Road and Foye Road in Rockefeller Township, Northumberland County.
Trooper George Ritchey, of state police at Stonington, said Pantoja failed to negotiate a right turn while traveling west on Buch’s Hollow Road and her 2004 Ford Ranger rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side, entrapping her.
Personnel from the Sunbury Fire Department freed the driver using extrication equipment.
Pantoja was cited with driving at an unsafe speed, Ritchey said.
