SUNBURY -- Ruth DiCola, of Selinsgrove, a newspaper carrier for The Daily Item was awarded third place in the senior division of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association’s Carrier of the Year contest.
She is married to Theodore DiCola, an instrumental music teacher for the Shikellamy School District. They have three children.
She received the award at a recent awards luncheon held at the Hershey Hotel.
Mrs. DiCola has been delivering newspapers for The Daily Item for five years.
