BUCKHORN -- An 18-year-old Derry Township driver was killed in a fiery one-car crash on Buckhorn Road Wednesday north of Buckhorn, according to Madison Township police.
Police identified the victim as Bradley Ellis Utt of Derry Township, Montour County, a senior at Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech School.
Columbia County Deputy Coroner Ron Taylor listed the cause of death as blunt force trauma.
Police said Utt's car struck a tree and caught on fire at 3:45 p.m.
Police said his car appeared to be speeding on Buckhorn Road, which is posted at 40 miles per hour.
Firefighters from Buckhorn and an ambulance from Millville responded. Police were assisted at the scene by police from Hemlock and Montour townships.
Montour Township police are continuing to investigate.
