HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania State Department of Health will conduct H1N1 flu vaccination clinics for at-risk groups Friday through Sunday at selected locations.
At-risk persons in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland and Columbia counties will be served at the Northcentral District Office, 1000 Commerce Park Drive, Water Tower Square, Suite 9, Williamsport.
Persons in Union and Snyder counties will be served at Centre County State Health Center, 280 W. Hamilton Ave., State College.
Appointments must be scheduled and the department asks that only persons in the target groups participate.
Appointments can be made 24 hours a day on line at www.H1N1inPA.com or by calling 877-724-3258 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Phone lines are limited.
Anyone seeking a vaccination should download an H1N1 vaccine consent from www.H1N1inPA.com. Consent forms must be completed for each person that is scheduled to be vaccinated. Preparing the form in advance will assist the clinics in processing individuals.
Target groups are persons ages six months to 24 years; household contacts and caregivers for children younger than six months; pregnant women; healthcare providers and emergency medical services personnel; persons under 65 years of age with underlying health conditions including asthma, diabetes, suppressed immune systems, heart disease, kidney disease, neurocognitive and neuromuscular disorders.
