READING — City police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman.
Reading police say they responded just before 2 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a domestic disturbance and found 39-year-old Maria Albers-Cosme lying on the front steps of a neighbor's home. They say she had been stabbed in the chest in her own home and then walked outside and collapsed.
Albers-Cosme was pronounced dead shortly afterward by a Berks County deputy coroner. Police say they are questioning a man in the case, but no charges have been filed.
