RICHFIELD — The owner of a West Perry Township car wash has been taken to the cleaners.
An unidentified woman on Thursday found that by placing a $10 bill into a change machine at Manevals Garage Car Wash, she receives double the amount of money, state police at Selinsgrove reported on Saturday.
So she put another $10 bill into the machine. And got twice the amount of money back.
That’s when she left the Snyder County business owned by Paul William Nace, 25, of Richfield — to get more $10 bills.
The woman returned with five $10 bills and placed them in the machine.
After that, the man who returned with her tried his luck. But the machine had malfunctioned.
Troopers are looking for the two suspects who were traveling in a small, white sport utility vehicle, possibly a Kia. The woman has dark hair, is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 190 pounds and was wearing a black sweat shirt. Her male friend is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Selinsgrove at 374-8145.
