TURBOTVILLE -- In Region I of the Warrior Run Area School District, a man re-elected to the school board will not serve.
Steven M. Fairchild, of Watsontown, resigned from the school board in September after being charged with theft.
A Northumberland County election official said Fairchild would have to notify the school board that he would not serve, even though he was re-elected.
The board then would appoint someone to fill his seat.
Tamela Chomas, of Watsontown, was also elected in Region I.
