SUNBURY — Police are releasing few details about the execution of a search warrant at a second-floor residence at South Second and Walnut streets Monday evening.
Officer Travis Bremigen said the warrant is part of an ongoing drug investigation involving the Sunbury Police Department, the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force and the state attorney general’s office.
The warrant was granted by Northumberland County Judge William H. Wiest, Bremigen said, and has been sealed for 30 days.
Three marked patrol cars and unmarked cars were parked next to the house Monday as police entered and took photos inside. Some officers searched outside areas around the house.
An individual who may have come from the upstairs residence was taken away in a van by police shortly after 6:15 p.m.
Bremigen said no charges had been filed as of Tuesday as a result of the investigation, but he anticipates charges will be filed later.
