BEAR GAP -- A Trevorton man was injured Wednesday after the pickup truck he was driving was hit by a tractor-trailer on Route 54.
Ralpho Township police said tractor-trailer driver Brian Leee Ebersole, of Ashland, was driving west on Route 54 when, to avoid a line of cars stopped for road construction, he swerved into the eastbound land and directly into the path of a pickup truck drive by Marshall David Hummel, of Trevorton.
Hummel was taken by Elysburg paramedics to Geisinger Medical Center, near Danville, where he is listed in fair condition. Ebersole refused treatment.
Assisting at the scene were fire and rescue personnel from Elysburg, Ralpho Township, AREA Services and state police from the Stonington barracks.
