MILTON - State police said a78-year-old resident of West Chillisquaque Township fell victim to a scam in which someone convinced him to obtain money orders and send them overseas.
Police said that Ralph Guffey was told that he would receive large sums of money and other valuable items for sending the money orders, but he never received anyhing. The scam cost Guffey about $7,000, police said.
State police said that residents are reminded to be extremely cautious when approached by such offers.
