MILTON - Two White Deer men are facing charges after allegedly attempting to take scrap metal from a Milton business in November.
Robert Eugene Palmer, 43, and Dennis Drass, 48, are facing one count each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, stemming from a Nov. 13 incident, according to court documents.
Palmer and Drass were spotted trying to load a blue drum filled with scrap metal into Drass' vehicle at Shipper's Carline, 345 Yocum Road, police said.
An employee of nearby borough police were nearby and were able to confront the pair before they left the scene, police said.
A preliminary hearing in the case for both men is scheduled for April 17 at 9 a.m. in front of District Justice Richard Cashman in Milton.
Drass is also facing two charges of receiving stolen property after a Nov. 19 incident in Shamokin Township, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing in that case is scheduled for March 26 at 9:15 a.m. in from of District Justice John Gembic in Shamokin.
