Susquehanna and Bucknell universities closing at 2 p.m. today

SELINSGROVE - Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove and Bucknell University in Lewisburg are closing at 2 p.m. today because of Hurricane Sandy.

There will be no classes from 2 p.m. today until at least noon Tuesday. All campus offices will close from 2 p.m. today until at least noon Tuesday. All events scheduled after 2 p.m. today are cancelled.

The Emergency Management Team will decide Tuesday whether classes and other University activities scheduled after noon tomorrow, including the Avicii concert, will proceed. That announcement will be made by 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Current information can be found at on the University homepage and at this blog,http://www.bucknell.edu/emergency.xml, which will contain all University notices about this storm.

Administrators at Susquehanna said the campus will remain closed at least until noon Tuesday. All campus facilities, including the library and Garrett Sports Complex, will be closed with the exception of dining services.

Updates were expected at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. today and 7 a.m. tomorrow.
