DANVILLE — Two North Carolina men were charged with drug offenses after police were called to their motel room to investigate an alleged sexual assault.
State police at Milton charged Eric Clayton Locklear, 31, and John Conan Locklear, 28, both of Rowland, N.C., with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Troopers were called to the Days Inn in Valley Township on June 3. Troopers Chad Rarig and Joshua Kendrick contacted the Locklears and said they found a pair of women’s underwear matching the description provided by the woman who called police.
The Locklears allegedly told police they and the woman had smoked marijuana in the room and that both men had sex with her. According to the charges, John Locklear indicated the woman believed he was Eric Locklear, and when she realized he wasn’t, “she hastily departed.”
While searching the room, police allegedly found a pipe containing burned marijuana, three plastic bags of marijuana, a synthetic marijuana package and a condom wrapper.
Summons were sent to the Locklears to appear for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Marvin Shrawder on Sept. 4.
