WASHINGTONVILLE — A combination shed, workshop and pig pen burned down in less than an hour Saturday night.
The blaze at the property of Ralph Znook, 1626 Continental Blvd., was reported at 9:49 p.m. According to Washingtonville Fire Chief Gary Roberts, the structure was fully engulfed in fire when the first units arrived.
Roberts said three pigs died in the fire. A tractor in the shed was also destroyed.
The Znook property is a mile south of the intersection with Route 254.
Roberts plans to return to the scene today in an effort to pinpoint a cause of the fire.
By 11 p.m., the fire was under control, Roberts said.
Responding units were Washingtonville and tankers from Millville, Riverside and Warrior Run fire departments. The Valley Township fire department also provided assistance.
