A 51-year-old Turbotville man has been jailed on reckless endangerment charges after shooting a 4-year-old family dog as two sisters turned their eyes away in disbelief Friday morning.
Olen F. Mast, of Gardner Road, was placed in Montour County Jail pending arraignment after firing a .22-caliber rifle twice at King, a mix between an elk hound and Chihuahua, at the home of Jacob James Hershberger, also of Gardner Road. The second shot struck the family pet, state police at Milton report.
