LEWISBURG — A Mifflinburg man pleaded no contest Friday in exchange for possibly three months behind bars for the August 2011 crash in which his girlfriend, 17-year-old Emily Kunkle, was killed.
Christopher Libby, 20, appeared Friday in Union County Court before Judge Michael Hudock. His plea of no contest means Libby doesn’t enter a guilty plea but acknowledges that a jury would find him guilty based on the evidence.
Hudock has until a sentencing hearing in March to decide if he will accept Libby’s plea deal.
